Article 14, parag. 6 of the CNR Statute establish that each Institute must have its own advisory committee to support the Director in the guidance and management of institute activities. The Committee is made up of the Director and an elective representation of the personnel in its various forms (researchers, technologists and technical-administrative staff). The elected representatives remain in office for four years and can hold a maximum of two mandates, also not necessarily consecutive.
The Advisory Committee of the IIT advance opinions to the Director on the general progress of the activities and makes proposals for improving the quality of research and for the development of competences. It also expresses an opinion on the Institute’s management plan and approves proposals for visiting scholars/researchers involved in Institute activities.
