INTESA: An integrated ICT solution for promoting wellbeing in older people

As populations become increasingly aged, it is more importantthan ever to promote \Active Ageing" life styles among older people.Age-related frailty can inuence an individual's physiological statemaking him more vulnerable and prone to dependency or reduced lifeexpectancy. These health issues contribute to an increased demand formedical and social care, thus economic costs. In this context, the INTESAproject aims at developing a holistic solution for older adults,able to prolong their functional and cognitive capacity by empowering,stimulating, and unobtrusively monitoring the daily activities accordingto well-de ned \Active Ageing" life-style protocols.
