Legend:

  • Patent: Patent for industrial invention, which is the title from which industrial property rights derive from an invention. From many and complex phases of the life cycle of patent rights, they are listed separately as autonomous products: the first deposit (national or international priority), the first international extension and the first international concession. The typology does not include the brand and the utility / industrial models and other forms of privatization linked to software products and databases, to which at least one employee of the Institute has participated;
  • Conference Articles: Publication in full of original communication or report or poster presented at a conference, symposium, workshop. It is important, for the purposes of evaluation, to indicate the ISBN (if any), especially when the contribution is published in a volume linked to a series (with or without ISSN).
  • Journals: Scientific contribution (ISI and non-ISI articles, Abstract in the magazine, Editorial in magazine), generally developed on a specific topic, which illustrates original results of a research or presents review features, ie discussion of the state of the art or literature within a defined scientific field. The publication journal must have characteristics of scientific nature. The typology does not include editorials, short comments, reviews and similar products, for which specific types are provided.
  • Contribution to Book/Monograph:Scientific contribution, generally developed on a specific topic, which illustrates the original results of a research or presents review features, ie the discussion of the state of the art or literature within a defined scientific context. The volume that hosts the contribution (book chapter, essay etc.) can be coordinated or not by one or more editors. The typology also includes introductions with a critical essay.
  • Technical report, Project report:Autonomous scientific product that presents in detail the results of a research, significant developments in a research area or the instrumental aspects of a research. The technical report taken here can be found in the repertoires of national and international research institutions and is not intended for further publication.
  • Technical documentation: These are internal publications (internal notes, reviews, etc.) that illustrate the results of technical, managerial, administrative, organizational, training, and dissemination activities, as well as the creation of software, procedures, programs, guides and reviews, mainly intended for circulation and diffusion in the CNR area.
  • Book: Scientific contribution on a single, well-defined topic whose treatment is detailed with a systematic approach and critical opening to the overall academic debate on the topics dealt with. The author / authors must / must have direct intellectual responsibility for the entire content of the work, published as a book. The typology includes the publication of one's own work translated into another language, for which a "translation" check box is provided. The typology does not include scholastic or university manuals, except for works with original and innovative scientific contents.
  • Other typology: Non-scientific publications, application enhancement, graphic products, multimedia products, database, supplements, educational material, CD ROM)
