In 2008 the Registry launched a communication campaign aimed at promoting the dissemination of .it domain names and related services as a means of spreading the culture of the Internet. From the end 2009, this campaign communication will move into its "external" phase and become more visible.
The communication strategy of the Registry uses not only internal staff, but also a communication agency that is responsible for the "media plan". The backbone of the strategy is to: promote the image of the Registry to institutional partners and stakeholders with regard to the organization; launch and monitor a campaign on the Internet, newspapers, radio and billboards; and organize specific promotional events.
The communication activities of the Registry will continue on the more usual channels, with the publishing of new issues of the magazine "Focus.it - Newsletter del Registro .it" and informative material for all potential users of .it names domain.
