Microsoft non é\; nuova a questo tipo di iniziative\, con risultati di rilievo tra i quali suite Office\, Internet Explorer\, Outlook\, e piu'recentemente la XBOX. Dopo meno di un anno\, Microsoft ha visto la propria quota di mercato U.S. aumentare del 49.6% Y/Y arrivando al 11.5% del mercato\, mentre il market leader é\; cresciuto del 16.7%.
