Percorsi per le Competenze Trasversali e per l’Orientamento – PCTO

The Institute of Informatics and Telematics is available to welcome secondary school students, starting from the third year, of all study fields, in the Percorsi per le Competenze Trasversali e per l’Orientamento – PCTO (formerly Alternanza scuola-lavoro, Legge 30 Dicembre 2018, n.145 e Legge 13 luglio 2015 n. 107).

For informations please write to the IIT-CNR Scientific Affairs Unit (segreteria-scientifica@iit.cnr.it) or to the IIT coordinator of the PCTO activity, patrizia.andronico@iit.cnr.it.

Internet culture dissemination projects

The Institute promotes various initiatives for the dissemination of the Internet culture in schools.

The Ludoteca del Registro .it project offers learning by playing activities and workshops in primary schools, seminars, and conferences for secondary schools, and training courses for teachers and parents. Said activities aim to shed light on domain names, spread the digital culture, and clarify risks and challenges connected to the Internet. Such events can be held both online and in presence.

Secondary schools are also offered the peer education project Let’sBit!, included within specific PCTO[1] training organised by Ludoteca del Registro .it. Younger students can, instead, play with the web app Internetopoli, the city of the Internet: an online game to play in class with different levels to know opportunities and challenges of the Internet and foster safe behaviours to its users.

The project also provides insights on cybersecurity, through specifically-designed tools such as the comic adventures of Nabbovaldo, an inexperienced guy that has to face the threats of Internetopolis, traditional board games, and a videogame designed for younger students enrolled in secondary schools.
All the contents are free of charge and available on the website of Ludoteca

For further information and to book an event, please contact: ludoteca@registro.it

The Scientific Affairs Unit coordinates the participation of the Institute in seminars and lectures-meetings addressed to secondary school students. The seminars can be held either at the IIT venue or at school. The lessons aim at introducing students, but also teachers and a general audience, to the potential of the Internet and its most innovative aspects.
